Nico Addai

Program Coordinator, AI for Good Institute, 2024

Compliance Officer, Gradient Health Inc - Duke University Incoming MBA Candidate 

With experience as an Operations Program Manager, Nico Addai played a pivotal role in the growth of a medical AI startup from its early valuation at $6M to a nearly $20M over two years. She previously acted as a Research Consultant for MIT’s Scheller Teachers Education Program Lab.

 

She focuses her research on creating accessible AI projects for Make-a-thon, a three-day event designed for teachers and facilitators to generate activities that facilitate conversations around AI ethics and community action.

 

Nico worked on community-focused AI and Data Science projects that investigated strategies to combat racialized algorithmic bias in open-source skin image datasets. She also worked with MIT’s Data+Feminism Lab as a research assistant and created datasets used to investigate patterns of commemoration of people in the City of Cambridge. 

​

 

Nico has a passion for entrepreneurial pursuits and community development and management. She is currently pursuing her MBA at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Management.

GiGi Griffin

Program Associate, Admin, AI for Good Institute, 2024

GiGi is IT Project Manager with over 20 years of experience managing global teams, with the ability to build solid, effective relationships and lead strategic initiatives across cross-functional lines of business. She has a double-major BA in Computer Science and Economics from Mills College, an MS in Engineering Economic Systems from Stanford and an MBA with a focus on Managing Innovation and Technolgy from Santa Clara University. Currently volunteering with Impact Genius as a Program Associate supporting the AI for Good Institute.

Vebeka Guess

Program Associate, Development, AI for Good Institute, 2024

Vebeka has 20+ years of experience in high tech software product marketing, go-to-market program management, and strategic business management at Adobe and Hewlett-Packard. She earned her undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and Masters in Business Administration from Santa Clara University.

Anesat Leon

Program Associate, Development, AI for Good Institute, 2024

Anesat brings a unique blend of education and fundraising expertise to her role as Program Associate for Development at the 2024 AI for Good Institute at Impact Genius. Her passion lies in empowering students and programs that leverage technology and AI to create positive change.

Anesat's foundation in education technology, coupled with her experience advising tech companies, equips her to navigate the complexities of emerging technology developments with AI. She has a proven track record of creating strategies to ensure accessibility and inclusion in tech products and programs.

​

A lifelong learner, Anesat actively pursues knowledge through fellowships at Capitol Institute, Mission Impact Academy for AI, Regenerative Intelligence, and Stanford's "Ethics, Technology, and Public Policy for Practitioners" program.

 

Anesat's dedication to learning fuels her ability to solve problems creatively and collaborate effectively across different fields. This drive fuels her mission: to use AI for positive change and build liberatory technologies.

May Xu

Program Associate, Development, AI for Good Institute, 2024

May is currently ICF coach to support founder/entrepreneur/change maker's inner growth and transformation. May rides the tides of significant technology advancement of AI/Data field for the past 20 years in different industries and business functions. Her role includes AI technologist, Data Driven Business Operater, AI product owner/strategist and Startup COO, in transformative companies such as LinkedIn. May runs her own coaching firm and is committed to humanize AI technology & practice. She hold M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford with thesis on information theory based pattern recognition.

Carmah Hawwari

Program Officer, AI for Good Institute, 2024

Carmah is a program officer at AI for Good Institute and a current undergraduate student at Stanford University majoring in Design under the UI/UX track. Carmah has a mission to bridge the gap between human creativity and technological innovation, finding the humanity in design to create products that extend beyond functionality.

 

At Impact Genius, she hopes to enhance user engagement and foster innovative thinking among participants.

Prior to Impact Genius, she worked as a design intern at BALINCA, where she led significant design-focused projects and collaborated closely with executive teams to enhance digital product development using tools like Figma and Adobe Cloud. At Stanford, she is an active member of Stanford Women in Design, leading efforts to empower emerging designers and organize major educational events.

Driven by a belief in the transformative power of technology, Carmah is passionate about harnessing AI to enhance human experiences and interactions. She is committed to collaborating with technologists and innovators to cultivate projects that leverage AI for social good, aiming to inspire and implement solutions that improve lives and foster a better understanding of technology’s potential in everyday contexts.
